Then, by their accounts, what we have done in the past is what brought us here? The one time I said yes, I brought sorrow on myself already. It is not fair nor right.

No, I think that they chose us because of who we are, but I don't think that it brought us here. [She shook her head.] They seem to target what they think is a weakness, but I don't even know why they choose the ones that they do, not really.

I wonder if there is in some way we are all connected. What are those things called? Where information is collected?

Libraries? I'm not sure that applies [Other than that one library, but ... she didn't want to talk about that place. It still creeped her out to this day to have seen it.] But there may be a sense in which all worlds are connected and all people tied.

Some more than others.

And there definitely is, I know it. The connection with Tir na nOg, the under world, and several others exist because of that which connects everything. There is a root to existence.

Surveys? Yeah, I know about those. What about them? [She nodded about the rest. The likelihood was too strong to ignore, but there also wasn't much to say on it. She was curious what Grainne was talking about with the first part.]

What if we tried one of those, only without the sex questions? Do you think we might find something?

Oh... well, we could, but I suspect that you and I have very different kinks. I'm not sure just how much we'd have in common, that way anyway. We have a lot of other things in common. Just not quite so much in bed.

But, hey, if you want to, we can.

I meant for finding out if there were connections between those who are taken out world. There must be something that causes the Maeve to choose us. Questions seem like the best way.

Oh gods... yes, we could do that, but I don't know how clear that's going to make it. If there's anything I've ever found, the only thing that's consistent is that people who get grabbed seem to be the sort who will be uncomfortable on some level.

It's like they revel in the drama.

They might at that. Emotions can be a strong power source if you know how to use them well, sexual included. Or... eat them. There are stories of the sidhe playing such games with mortals. Anyway, if you think a 'survery' is not worth pursuing, there may be other ways we can answer the question.

I suppose it will depend on what questions we ask.

It really does. You're wanting to find what it is that causes them to choose us, aren't you? I can understand the curiosity at that, at the very least.

I'm not quite sure where to begin, though.

Perhaps it is something that will become clear in time. [A sigh.] It may be a wise thing to write down little things of note like that. Patterns are found everywhere, even in the petals of a flower.

The more notes you build, the more that you have a chance of finding a pattern, yes. Admittedly, try not to slap them all on a wall with little lines between them. People in my time tend to think that's sort of crazy. Neat and organized is always good.
